Pilot-project Tiny Libraries is a continuance of the long-lasting and successful cooperation between two institutions – Rijeka City Kindergarten and Rijeka City Library.
A Tiny Library is a collection of books for children and parents, taken from the Rijeka City Library holdings, relocated and lent to be used in the Kindergarten facilities.
The collections of picture books, illustrated books and books for parents and educators in Tiny Libraries are accompanied with flyers and similar materials that serve as references to ones looking for quality children books and educational theme literature.
The Library also provides a short educational course for kindergarten professional staff, especially for educators who use book collections on everyday basis, that consists of a brief presentation of the idea and the collection, with the guidelines for its use, after it's been set up and before it is put out for public use.
